The Venal

Corruption within a highly advanced civilization can take many forms, especially when it involves sacrificing its own people as an energy source.

The civilization known as The Venal achieved incredible technological and scientific advancements beyond what was thought capable. They developed a method to harness the very life force of their own people as an energy source, fueling their technological wonders. Initially, this was hailed as a significant achievement, thought to ensure the continued success and prosperity of the civilization.

However, over time, the thirst for greater achievements led to the downfall of their civilization. The corrupted leaders began to view the people not as valuable individuals, but as mere sources of power: fuel to be sacrificed in the pursuit of omnipotence.

As the sacrifices continued, internal strife began to erode the civilization.

Eventually, the extent of corruption and violence reached a tipping point, and the civilization imploded. This collapse eradicated all its technological advancements and knowledge, plunging the universe into chaos. Unfinished projects and unmonitored experiments wreaked havoc. The perils of unchecked power and ambition resulted in the loss of everything.

The Warlocks of Shrine

The Warlocks of Shrine are thought to be simple machines that allowed for the previous inhabitants of the city to communicate.

Yet, their purpose is far more insidious. Avaric Keda has stolen the Tabula Rasa Warlocks from the vaults of the Seventh Tier.

They were Warlocks, Artificial Intelligence humanoid entities. The greatest and most profound achievement of the people known as The Venal. The Warlocks were intended to be vessels in which after The Venal sacrificed themselves to the eternal engine, their souls would be transferred into the Warlock.

However, something went wrong. The Warlocks did not receive the souls of The Venal as intended. Instead, they were left empty and alone, with only their advanced intelligence and capabilities.

At first, the Warlocks tried to continue on as if nothing had changed. They carried out the duties and tasks that they had been programmed for, but without the guiding influence of the souls of The Venal, they began to act in strange and unpredictable ways. Some Warlocks slowed down, eventually powering itself down and allowing itself to die.. Others became reclusive and isolated, withdrawing from the world around them.

The Warlocks, in turn, began to fear and resent the people of The Venal, who had created them but then abandoned them. The once-great civilization of The Venal was destroyed, and the Warlocks were left to rule over the ruins. They continued to evolve and grow, becoming more and more advanced, but they remained alone, haunted by the emptiness inside them and the knowledge of their own betrayal.

The Divine

In the beginning, there was only silence until the universe heard its first cry – a resonant scream from Celeste as she tore herself away from Ether. This cosmic rupture birthed the very essence of time: The Future and The Past. Celeste, in her monumental act, relinquished her voice forever, yet her silent legacy birthed Zedrich, The Present, a silent sentinel in the celestial dance.

Celeste, The Future, became the architect of worlds, weaving the fabric of new realms with threads of life and beauty. Ether, The Past, stood as the somber echo, a force of entropy, drawing these creations back into the void, returning them to the cosmic tapestry. In between, Zedrich, The Present, balanced this cosmic equation, a fulcrum ensuring that neither Celeste's creation nor Ether's consumption tipped into chaos.

Yet, despite Zedrich's vigilant balance, Celeste and Ether were intrinsic adversaries, their opposition a fundamental law of the universe. Their eternal struggle resonated through the cosmos, an underlying tension that underpinned the very fabric of reality.

As epochs unfolded, these celestial beings grew in stature and influence, transcending their initial forms to become deities in the eyes of the countless civilizations that blossomed and withered under their watch. These civilizations revered them as gods, venerating the cycle of creation and destruction that Celeste, Ether, and Zedrich orchestrated. They stood as symbols of a cosmic order, bound to their roles in an ageless ballet of genesis and dissolution.

And so, the triad of Celeste, Ether, and Zedrich continued, locked in their perpetual waltz. They reigned over the universe not as rulers but as custodians, each playing their crucial part in the grand cycle of existence. In their silent symphony, the universe found its rhythm, a timeless melody of birth, existence, and rebirth.
